Natural Capital Programme - Scotland

Investing in nature to drive sustainable development

The Natural Capital Programme aims to demonstrate how strategic investing in natural assets, from forests, grasslands, rivers and maritime habitats, can deliver sustainable economic growth, environmental improvements, and social value, while testing practical models that can be scaled across the UK.

It enables nature, farmers, rural communities, and businesses in South Scotland to thrive together by recognising Natural Capital as a vital economic asset for the region.
