Digital Programme
Strengthening digital connectivity across the region
The Digital programme will improve digital and mobile connectivity across the whole region. In dispersed rural areas, limited connectivity is widely recognised as a significant barrier to economic growth, service access and community resilience.
This programme will directly address that challenge by investing in the infrastructure required to enable businesses, public services and communities to reliably connect, innovate and remotely access services and markets, supporting inclusive and sustainable regional growth.

What the programme will deliver
Through targeted investment in digital and mobile infrastructure, connectivity across the region will be significantly improved, particularly in rural and hard-to-reach areas. This will enable businesses to grow and innovate, support more effective delivery of public services, and ensure communities can reliably access services and markets. In doing so, it will help remove barriers to growth and support more inclusive and sustainable outcomes across the region.
