Hadrian's Wall Investment Programme

Transforming one of the UK’s most iconic heritage destinations for visitors and communities

Stretching 73 miles from coast to coast, Hadrian’s Wall once guarded the Roman Empire’s wild northern frontier. Today, it offers visitors a chance to explore rare Roman artefacts, enjoy interactive museum experiences, and take in stunning landscapes that reveal life on the edge of Roman Britain.

A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Wall links two nations and two coasts, showcasing some of the UK’s most impressive cultural heritage and scenery. The Hadrian’s Wall Investment Programme aims to unlock its full potential, boosting tourism, supporting local communities, and strengthening the regional economy.
