The Borderlands Inclusive Growth Deal is a platform for growth, allowing people and places to prosper with an increasingly skilled workforce and well connected infrastructure

A decade of economic and social benefits

Representing economic opportunities and inclusive growth, the Borderlands Inclusive Growth Deal involves an extensive programme of investment to deliver significant economic benefit for our communities and businesses.

Over the programme’s lifetime, and a further 10 years to capture the benefits, we estimate that the Deal will benefit over a million residents, deliver thousands of job opportunities, improve mobile and digital connectivity as well as unlocking investment in towns across the area, generating around £1.1 billion in additional GVA to the UK economy.

The Deal will also tackle the three principle socio-economic challenges of our region to deliver inclusive growth
